| billy
trix and all her fabulously fun friends had a
great time at the 1st denver guerrilla queer bar
on thursday, july 25, 2002.
we all met at rock bottom brewery, a popular
breeder hangout often frequented by the downtown
professional crowd. the first event
attracted over 200 fabulously fun patrons.
we all started at rock bottom, where we learned
quickly of a 'no dancing on the bar' policy that
was not posted at the front door. rock bottom
offered us great service, especially with the
extraordinary "raspberry fuckers," a
popular drink at the rock bottom with allows one
every right to say your favorite 4 letter word in
mixed company! apparently one of billy's
friends smuggled in a mega phone in her pants.
megaphone mary was discovered after getting felt
up and setting off a mega-screeching-alarm.
megaphone mary announced the party was moving to
the next unsuspecting establishment. we
paraded down 16th street mall to paramount cafe
where we were offered 50 cent shot specials
"for all us guerrilla-dot-com-ers!"
both bars welcomed us and a good time was had by
all. at the end of the night, the party took a
spirit of it's own. billy and her entourage ended
up at the cowboy club charlie's, the local country
gay bar where, in the same spirit, we all toasted
"bottoms up!" | |

| guerrilla
warfare victimless, some say not - defection an
option |
|
| this
reporter was stunned to discover a guerrilla
warfare casualty at the denver guerrillas first
event. an unsuspecting lonesome straight
boy, in town for business, wanders into the
crossfire. "are you here with billy
trix?" a guerrilla solider in pink taffeta
queries the reluctant straight boy. "i think
i've figured out what's going on here"
exclaims the straight boy as he clutches his guinness
and darts to the
nearest straight girl embassy requesting asylum.
whether or not asylum was granted, we all like to pretend he
defected to the other side and was disciplined for
his war crimes. | |

wading though pictures off the digi cam from the
bondage party in her basement, she was able to
distinguish the rock bottom pictures from the big
'ol bottom pictures. billy hopes you enjoy
these most fabulous photos. there might be a
few big 'ol bottom pictures thrown in just for
fun... try and guess which ones! share your
pictures with us by emailing them to billy. don't worry how big they are,
'cause billy can take it!

GUERRILLA
QUEER BAR
Yuppie Breeder Bar Invasion
Rock Bottom Brewery
16th Street at Curtis
At the Bar
Thursday, July 25th, 8PM
The Rock Bottom Brewery is a popular breeder
hangout often frequented by the downtown
professional crowd. On any given night, you are
likely to find it full of cellphone-carrying
stockbrokers, bankers, and marketing types. We
think it's gonna be way more fabulous filled with
loud queens, pretty boys, drag queens, butch
lesbians, bi raver girls, and leather men.
Gurls, you are more than welcome to do whatever it
is you do at a gay bar. After all, it's our gay
bar for the night. So cruise, mingle, smooch,
fashion critique, serve attitude, or be
refreshingly friendly. Honey, it's all up to you.
We'll be there at 8, wading though the
hetero-mating rituals in search of some fun. Come
on in and have a little drinky, hell have two or
three! Billy will be waiting for you in the bar.
Show up on time (not drag queen time) because
Billy's been known to get out his Loudass
Guerrilla Megaphone and make the party mobile.

| thank
you |
a note
from billy trix whilst getting her nails done:
here i go again, offering "slobbery on my
knees kinda gratitude" to everyone that made
the first denver guerrilla queer bar a
success:
to the rock bottom brewery, management, staff and
customers for entertaining an overly bent eclectic
group, overly bent on having fun...
to the paramount cafe management, staff and
customers for the fabulous dot-com-er's drink
specials...
to the fabulous digi-cam-ers for generously
sharing their pictures, thanks from one pixel
pusher to another...
to myself, billy trix and all my most fabulously
fabulous personalities...
most of all, a well endowed "thank you"
to the guerrilla-dot-com-er's themselves, for
without you all there would be no party at
all. you make the party and that's why we
can't wait until the next one! watch your
email for the next event announcement.
with love, billy trix! | |
