trix and her entourage were in san francisco on
august 24, and the san
francisco guerrilla queer bar threw a party
just for us! our party was lead by the
infamous mega fantastic barney schlockum.
barney is san francisco guerrilla queer bar's icon
and organizer. his theme: "denver boys
are in town, and the best denver themed outfit
gets to go home with them." everyone
was a winner! the night started off in a bar
quite similar to what the denver guerrillas turned
blue 67 into, a white trash bar, called butter. to
our surprise, this bar was white trash before the
guerrillas arrived. in the back of butter was a trailer, and throughout
the night it was shaking. i think that's
where they make the martinis. in
guerrilla style, the san francisco guerrillas
crashed a birthday party. feeling a tad bit
guilty and an uncontrollable need for attention,
billy kicked celine dion outta the way and lead
her denver dressed soldiers in singing the
megaphone mix of happy birthday! the dj was
quite accommodating and turned down the music for
us. after our butter cup adventure, we
jaunted down the street to a bar with a giant cow
hanging from the bar, called holy
cow. holy cow's "immediate
megaphone ejection policy" became apparent,
but not before we announced ditchin' the straight
bar and movin' on to some family friendly
establishments. the rest of the evening is a
blur, but billy remembers a few long islands, a
lovely "standing room only" v.i.p.
backroom in a leather bar, and waking up in a
lovely hotel bath tub. a big 'ol slobbery kiss
goes out to all the san francisco guerrilla queer
bar boys and girls for making our evening in san francisco
such a fabulous night! | |
