denver are you ready to get wet & wild with
billy trix and denver guerrilla queer bar? you’re
invited to join denver’s ultimate traveling
party on august 16, 2003 for our first annual
gay day at hyland hills water world. we are
going to take over the waters of water world
guerrilla style! imagine several hundred guerrilla
boys and girls taking over the 64 acre water
park for one scandalous day of fun in the sun!
with over 40 different world class water attractions
to enjoy billy is sure to have something up
his swimsuit! |

wants you to enter his "best of water world
swim wear" contest! how would you like
the chance to win one of many prizes like a
$100 bar tab at JR's, or a VIP pass to a weekend
in oz, denver's much anticipated circuit party
valued at $150 bucks? well you can! billy is
holding a "best of of water world swim
wear" contest. watch the big rotating clock
on the top of the hill and when it reads 2:45
PM make your way to the grand pavilion located
west of thunder bay. at 3 PM come participate
in the contest and compete for a chance to win
fabulous prizes in a competition judged by the
audience’s response! everyone is strongly encouraged
to sport some type of fun attire for the contest
such as a towel wig or shower cap. billy suggests
coming in a group as a theme like synchronized
swimmer or a team of water polo players. billy
wants you to be creative and have fun with your
swim wear but there are a few rules we must
follow while at the park ...
Water World Lawyer Speak: Water World recommends
proper swimming attire while enjoying the rides.
Cutoff shorts are accepted, only if there are
no rivets on the shorts. Thong bikinis are allowed,
but not encouraged. If a guest finds someone
wearing a thong bikini offensive, we will ask
them to put something else on. Any guest wearing
clothing that is offensive, such as clothing
with profanity, will be asked to change, or
leave the park. |

and his gang will be arriving early that day to setup
camp or as we like to call it homo base for the day’s
adventures! homo base will be located in the grand
pavilion located west of thunder bay.
billy also pointed out that this vantage point will
provide not only the maximum sun exposure for tanning
but that this is also the best location for people
watching in park because quite frequently the massive
wave that is released into thunder bay every 4mins
tends to catch some un-expecting park quests off guard
and they tend to lose any articles of clothing that
are not secured properly! we'll have temporary tattoo
at homo base. billy suggests wearing the tattoo, preferably
somewhere visible kids, to help us identify each other
while at the park. |

a little drinking involved now would it? after
spending all that time in sun working on the
tan you should have a place to show it off right?
well billy has all the bases covered! the party
will continue after water world at jr's bar
& grill 777 e. 17th ave in denver. remember
to keep those swimsuits on because anyone wearing
a swimsuit will receive ½ off drinks
all night long! billy promises to have
emergency hair dressers on hand to fix your
wig after a day in the pool! if you're
still going strong and you want to keep the
red eye effect just show your ticket stub at
the door of amsterdam and you will get in for
$8. |

and pecos Street, 15 minutes north of downtown
denver. highway signage on I-25 and U.S. 36
will help guide you to our park.
from
the north, take I-25, exit at thornton parkway
(exit 220.) turn west on thornton parkway
and continue to pecos street. turn left on
pecos street to 88th avenue. At 88th avenue,
turn right into the water world parking lot.
from the south, take I-25, exit at 84th avenue
(exit 219.) turn west on 84th avenue and continue
to pecos street. turn right on pecos street
to 88th avenue. At 88th avenue, turn left
into the water world parking lot.
from U.S. 36 or I-76, exit at pecos street.
proceed north on pecos street to 88th avenue.
turn left into the water world parking lot.
