billy wants to see you at don's mixed drinks this friday night. reports are, this denver landmark is about to close its doors and be gone forever and it just wouldn't be polite if billy didn't stop in to help say goodbye! don's mixed drinks is a total neighborhood dive bar that has a great pool table, an old pac-man game and more wood paneling that the brady brunch's basement. the drinks are cheap, the atmosphere is casual and its just plain fun and attracts a surprisingly young, cute neighboorhood crowd. don's opened 57 years ago and has been serving up drinks at the same location ever since. there's even a new digital jukebox loaded up with 'dancing queen' just waiting for us! we're not saying this place is white trash, but we are saying that pink flamingos will definitely be appropriate. in fact, our special guest hostess for the evening will be handing out pink flamingo head boppers for the first 100 of billy's friends to arrive.

well buttercup, its takes a landmark to invade a landmark! our fabulous hostess for the evening is none other than, the one, the only, miss amber! you loved her on the priscilla bus trip and you've probably seen her running around jr's bar & grill (what grill?) working her bootie off. amber is not just a token straight girl working in a gay bar, she is the single most fabulous thing to happen to jr's since $1 vodka. amber has single handedly brought jr's from the brink of being oh so five minutes ago, to making it the place to be seen, and you have to be seen with her! amber is hands down, denver's newest landmark. remember, the party starts at 8, and in true guerrilla fashion, billy and amber want everyone to be on time!

well pookie, there's nothing that goes better with dive bars and pink flamingos than good ol' fashioned barbeque. billy and some of his most fabulous friends will be dining across the street from don's at brother's bbq starting at about 7pm. brother's bbq has great ribs, chicken, brisket, sausage and even denver's best bbq sauce. its not super fancy. its not über snooty. its just good, messy, finger lickin' barbeque. the brother's are kind of cute too. brother's bbq is at 568 washington street. join the pre-party and meet us at brother's at around 7pm!

don's mixed drinks at 723 east sixth avenue between washington and clarkson just across sixth avenue from brother's bbq. just look for don's neon sign by the alley. there is plenty of parking up and down washington and clarkson and a few spaces in front of don's. don't park in the auto repair shop lot! that big bad emma uses that lot for her restaurant's parking. emma's a bitch and she does tow! don's has a parking lot just south of the 'lil mexican place that's on the southwest corner of sixth and clarkson. don't forget, amber is handing out floppy treats for the first 100 people to get to don's! hope to see you there!
